» Amanda Kendle - Turin's chocolate

I didn't realise Turin was such a chocaholic's paradise. I have an Italian friend who often brings me chocolate from Turin, but I thought that was just because he always flies there for work, not that it was a specialty of the region! OK, it is right on the top of the list for Italian destinations now. Thanks for the tip!

Ah, Turin's chocolate is divine. My best friend and I indulged way too much while we were at the Olympics in February, but it seemed like a "must eat" type of situation. Northern Italy has so many treasures. Thanks, Barbara, for introducing me to a few more.

Hi to both--
I was surprised, too, the first time I went to Turin to learn that it was such a chocolate city. They take it very seriously. So seriously that you can buy a ChocoPass. I'm not kidding. You can get 10 tastes in 24 hours (or more in longer periods) at historic cafés, candy stores and artisanal chocolate workshops. It's a 24-hour overdose of gianduiotti, pralines, bonbons, cakes... Buy it at Turismo Torino Information Points for € 10,00 (24 hours), € 15,00 (48 hours) or € 20,00 (5 days).
