I would love to hike in Spain. Are there any flat areas in the vias verdes ? Is it very hilly? How would you rate the hiking; flat, moderate, strenuous?

The vias verdes I have hiked in Spain are definitely flat to moderately rolling -- no steep climbs and no rough hiking. I would term them easy to moderate. Since they follow old rail lines, they cannot be too steep. They often follow rivers through valleys.
